During my recent getaway to the charming Maison D'Hôtes de la Verrière, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm hospitality of Grégoire and Christine. Nestled in the scenic Beaujolais region, the peaceful garden, complete with an outdoor swimming pool and versatile seating areas, provided the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the nearby hiking trails. The culinary experience here was exceptional; Grégoire turned every meal into a delightful surprise with local flavors that left me yearning for more. His homemade aperitifs and delectable birthday cake with secret ingredients were highlights that truly showcased his culinary talents. Being only a hour from Lyon, it’s an ideal base for wine tasting adventures, while the picturesque paths around Mt. Saint Rigaud offer scenic strolls that pair perfectly with a bit of leisurely exploration with good company. If you're a fellow beer enthusiast like me, you’ll appreciate the chance to relax in such a tranquil haven after your brewery excursions. Highly recommend it for a taste of Beaujolais!
